Artist Statement

“I started off my painting with quick sketch.  Normally I do not sketch
with a pencil but use a paint brush and light hue.  The objects such
as shells, flowers and guitar are placed on the table.  Sometimes
other references are used like sketch book and photographs.  I like
to put rectangular shapes onto the work as my mind develops idea
and travel from different perspectives.  These shapes represent
different planes, mood and feelings.  Interplay of colours always
interests and fascinates me as I like to go with the warm and strong
colours.  Colours uplift my spirit.  Green is presented on most of my
art work as an inspiration from nature.  The guitar series denotes
my musical journey in life, it represents youth, happiness and love for
nature. ”
